The White Man’s Burden

The constant heritage of lostness:
relentless destination.
Go west young man
to the utter east;
keep on going but never arrive:
the curse of cain.
A long long line of lost generations,
kerouac, inc.
on the road to another road.
We hit the pacific,
hanging ten off north america,
lemmings headed to sea.
Manifest destiny.
We wanted it this way.
